Color Theory Workshop - February

from $0.00

There are an infinite number of color combinations; no two mixed colors are exactly the same. Learning more information about how colors interact can open up new ways to play around with whichever crafts we prefer! This workshop will introduce students to the foundations of color mixing theory using acrylic paints. We will go over the split primary color palette, which has warm and cool hues of red, yellow and blue. After mixing secondary and tertiary colors, students can play with mixing a variety of neutral browns, grays, and blacks starting from primary colors.

Wednesday, February 5, 6-8pm

At OffCenter Community Arts Project, 808 Park Ave SW, ABQ.

Tiered pricing: Free $0 / Base $10 / Core $20 / Supporter $40

All materials provided. No experience necessary.

Unless otherwise specified ages 16+ are welcome to attend OffCenter classes independently. Students age 12 to 15 must be accompanied by an adult (18+) who stays with them for the duration of the class. We highly recommend that the accompanying adult register and participate in the class as well. Individual classes may have additional age or experience requirements. This class is for ages 16 and up.

Why are there multiple prices? All of our classes are offered at a sliding scale, with a free option available to anyone that requests it. When possible, we make the base option available in order to partly cover the cost of the class. The core price is the "true" cost of the class OffCenter needs to cover paying our teachers and providing supplies and materials. If you are able to support at a higher level, paying the supporter price helps ensure we're able to continue offering a variety of classes and keep free spaces open for anyone that needs.

There are a limited number of free spots available online. If these are sold out, please email, call, or drop by the studio to sign up! Email info@offcenterarts.org.
