Teacher bio:  Printmaker and multi-discipline artist Anna Montalbano defines her work as surreal and dreamlike, taking viewers on a journey into not only her mind, but their own. Her work often portrays the human figure in exaggerated yet simplified form, lengthening extremities and using simple lines to create the face. Montalbano’s work comes to her in time spent in reverie, and the translations of these moments are nothing short of a direct look into the artist’s mind. She dives into the struggles of being human and the complexities of the mind, but gives us relief in reminders of why life on this planet is so beautiful – just as the planet gives to us in everyday life.

All materials provided. No experience necessary.

Unless otherwise specified, OffCenter classes and workshops are intended for ages 16+.

Why are there multiple prices? All of our classes are offered at a sliding scale, with a free option available to anyone that requests it. When possible, we make the base option available in order to partly cover the cost of the class. The core price is the "true" cost of the class OffCenter needs to cover paying our teachers and providing supplies and materials. If you are able to support at a higher level, paying the supporter price helps ensure we're able to continue offering a variety of classes and keep free spaces open for anyone that needs.

There are a limited number of free spots available online. If these are sold out, please email, call, or drop by the studio to sign up! Email info@offcenterarts.org.
