Poetry in Conversation

  • OffCenter Community Arts Project 808 Park Avenue Southwest Albuquerque, NM, 87102 United States (map)

This generative writing workshop will look at using conversation in poetry to tell stories, build images, and create characters. We’ll reference poetry from Marilyn Dumont, Sharon Olds, Kaveh Akbar and others, and do a variety of creative writing exercises inspired by these poems.  This two-hour workshop is open to writers at every level (recommended age 16+). Whether you consider yourself a poet or not, this writing workshop is a chance to dive into some poetry!

Registration required. Tiered pricing $0-30. Find the details & register here.

This is a one-day class, on Thursday, January 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at OffCenter. All materials provided.
