Mixed Media Printmaking with Gel Plates

Learn how to use a Gelli plate to make mixed media art through image transferring techniques. Use stamps, magazines, printed images, and acrylic paint to layer images on the plates and transfer them to paper. This medium is a great way to make backgrounds for scrapbooking, art prints, and explore additional mediums. The workshop is ideal for ages 13+, participants with limited motor skills and/or experience are welcome.

Blanca Caro is a self-taught mixed media artist who enjoys using technology to facilitate the art making process. Blanca has enjoyed the experimental process involved in Gelli printmaking and continues to explore additional mediums to include in the process.

Saturday, August 3rd, 2:15 - 5 p.m. at OffCenter Community Arts Project, 808 Park Ave SW, ABQ.

Tiered pricing: $0/$20/$40.
