Artists & Gallery

Our Artists
OFFCenter’s artists:

  • determine the meaning and value of their work,
  • help envision and decide the direction of programming,
  • support and inspire each other through informal contact and involvement in the Artist Network, which is open to all emerging and established artists.

Co-op Gallery and Exhibits
Our Co-op Gallery and Exhibits are core features of our goal to provide economic development opportunities for artists. Six-to-eight times a year, we offer non-juried, no-fee gallery exhibits with open calls to all artists.

Low commissions on all art sales benefit exhibiting artists while supporting our open studio and outreach programming. As a member of the Albuquerque Art Business Association, we participate in AABA’s First Friday ARTSCrawl Opening Reception events for our Gallery Exhibits and occasional ARTful Saturday Events.

Art Sales
We feature handmade art and crafts created by over 100 artists creating with traditional media as well as recycled materials. The diverse array of artwork changes frequently with submissions from jewelry to paintings, sculpture, fine art wearables, recycled decor, upcycled clothing/accessories and more! All art pricing is determined by the artist with 80% going directly to the artist, and 20% to support OFFCenter programming.

The vast majority of work in our gallery is a part of OFFCenter’s Economic Development Program for low-income, homeless, or at-risk studio artists who are either emerging or reviving an art career. We also welcome established artists to become part of our community by making art side-by side-with artists in our open studio, teaching a workshop, or exhibiting in our non-juried exhibits.
